Christmas Time! I said I'd submit something today, hopefully some of my manga-stuff but im not quite happy with them just yet. Instead I decided to sit down and make a (anooother) portrait!

I used a reference for the face and some hand but unfortunatly I haven't a qlue how o find that person so I cant credit :-/ If anyone recognises her (she's off dA) just let me know and I'll credit. The picture I saved as a ref simply is named "unnamed".... what to do?

NOTE: Yes.. its gift-wraps around her ^^

Oh - and ~TheNameIsLee (who just finished an awesome portrait of his sister - check it out - [link])has unconciously been making me finish this today since I sort of promised ^^ Thanks man :D

I love how you captured even the subtle veins on the hand. :)

I don't think this really qualifies as a mature content deviation but okay. :)

Thanks =) I like the hand too.. well, I hate drawing hands because frankly I suck at it so I tend to sit with it way to long resulting in very high detail =) :hug:

Thats amazing mate!

I hope she appreciates that (if she ever sees it :))..
I didn't actually get on yesterday because I finished school for christmas holiday and went out with a bunch of friends and didn't get in till pretty late so didn't bother checking up.

But yeah very good doode. I love how you have done the hand. The veins and stuff. Just brilliant :D

Yeah, the lips are also awesome. I find it hard to get the same kind of feeling as the actual reference into the digital painting. If that makes sense? And mouths are probably the place most tricky for that!

The eyes and lips have to be just right to show the same amount of feeling and emotion in the image.

I'm rubbish at explaining what I mean, so I hope you understand that...

Oh well, keep them coming mate :D :D :D

I know just what you mean (!) .. in fact - Those lips and eyes looks so much sexier at the reference.. Never really turned them into the right thing but im ok with it =) Every now and then im seeing small flaws here and there.. like her chest isn't really perfect and neither is her neck. Need to work on the 3d feel too, so I might post an update soon.
